Group Harp Lessons for Primary School Students
One Term of 8 Beginner Harp Lessons designed for younger students in small groups; scroll down for more information
These Beginner Harp Lessons are designed as a first term of learning the harp, either for a single student or small group of students in a school situation, ages ca 7-12. They can be used if there is no harp teacher in the school to give a basic understanding of the Position at the harp; Fundamentals of how the harp works; Fundamentals of Harp Technique including Raising and Placing/Playing, including over 100 minutes of short videos. If a teacher is available, the lessons can serve as a supplement or guide. The lesson length is 30 mins, allowing time for preparation and participation time.
If there is no harp teacher available, it is suggested that one live interactive Skype Lesson could be set up for the students during the term, using the 1:1 Skype Lesson Course. Any interested student can also sign up independently for a supplementary Skype 1:1 lesson from home if they have their own harp.
The school or student/s will need per group at least one lever harp of minimum 26 strings; video screen or whiteboard; daily practice facility.
There is a comments section where the students can ask questions about the classes, and Alice will respond to these before the next week's lesson.
Cost of the course is AU$120; once purchased the course is available for streaming, with no end date. The course enrollment is intended for one school or group per enrollment.
