Standard exercises for warming up and developing flexibity and muscular control

   Watch Promo

Carlos Salzedo's Daily Dozen (1927) and Conditioning Exercises (1954) remain standards for any harpist. This step by step video course covers each exercise, with demontrations on their execution, and detailed information. The Daily Dozen are wonderful for getting comfortable with oscillation between thumb and each of the fingers, for stretching, and for developing good articulation. The Conditioning Exercises develop strength, articulation, and independence of the fingers. Both sets are wonderful warm-ups, and are very easy to learn and make part of an efficient personalized daily routine which covers a broad range of technical movements. Although written for pedal harp, they are easily adaptable to lever harp.

"In this video [Daily Dozen Ex III], your close-up demo of crossing under with the 4th finger (at 4:40) may be worth the price of admission! Ditto for the RH at the top of the harp. Many thanks for all the details." R.B. Vancouver

"Love the insights into these exercises. So very very helpful. The videos are clear, not hurried and so well articulated. Thank you!! " J.M. Australia
